**New
PRE-Convention Contest**
Calling all chapter webmasters... how would you like to
have your school's chapter hosted by wabcjcl.org?
How about we give you a domain name, some webspace and
the freedom to design something amazing for your local
chapter?
As part of helping our local chapters promote their
enthusiasm, We are introducing the WA/BC JCL
Local Chapter Website contest. This
contest is a great opportunity for those looking to help
showcase their chapters accomplishments and
achievements, as well as their over spirit.
Entries will automatically be counted as part of the
overall Spirit
Contest, and are eligible to be submitted to
the National Junior Classical League Website Contest -
Local Chapter Division.
How to get started?
Potential local webmasters must have their local sponsor
submit a request to the State Webmaster (Andrew
Lee) informing him that they have given approval for
wabcjcl.org to host their website. Sponsors must include
the names and emails of those who will be managing the
website, doing so will give us premission to contact
them, with details on how to access our server.
Chapters who do not want to participate in the website
contest, may still request a local domain website.
Each chapter will be granted complementary web hosting,
and a sub-domain as part of the wabcjcl.org. (e.g.
Lakeside School =
lakeside.wabcjcl.org).
How the contest works?
After your sponsor has contacted the state
webmaster, we will add your local chapter to our domain.
Websites will be automatically judged during the month
of March 2010. A random week will be selected, and a
selected panel will review the websites.
Once judging is completed, webmasters are encouraged to
continue updating their websites.
What do I win?
You and your winning website will be featured on the
wabcjcl.org website. Webmasters also will be
awarded a trophy at the state convention. Entrants
do not need to attend the State Convnetion, however on
member of their local chapter delegation must be in
attendance to accept the award.
Good Luck!
