Oratory Events Guidelines
The Dramatic
Interpretation and Latin Oratory
contests require memorization of the
appropriate Latin passage. The passages
will be sent out in the January edition
of the NJCL Highlights, and will be made
available for download (in .pdf format)
from the NJCL website.
Latin Oratory and Dramatic
Interpretation are NOT sequestered
events, and anyone wishing to compete in
those events can do so at any point
during the particular event’s scheduled
time. Please note that each Latin level
has its own specific twenty-minute block
of time scheduled during each event: the
first twenty minutes are for Latin ½ and
1 students, the second twenty minutes
are for Latin 2 students, and the final
twenty minutes are for Latin 3+
students.
